Chester 2.35 - Grey Cuban

GREY CUBAN got off the mark in a minor event at Wolverhampton last time out, and did so in emphatic style. That was his first start as a three-year-old, and he powered clear inside the closing stages, showing that he very much hadn't lost any of his park from two to three, and if anything, that confirmed he had trained on.

Hugo Palmer has had his horses in good form, and he will be looking to see his individual follow up here having been handed the plum draw in stall 1, which is often a key ingredient to success on the Roodee. William Buick has been booked for the ride which heightens confidence for this lightly-raced sort making it back to back wins. I think he looks more than capable of following up here.

Chester 3.05 - Capulet

It hasn't been a golden spell for the Aidan O'Brien yard at the moment, but their season can be kick-started here with CAPULET, who should really be suited by stepping up in trip. He looked totally outpaced on his seasonal reappearance over 1m at Chelmsford, where he hit a flat spot before plugging on the one-pace.

He looks as though he will improve once his stamina has been drawn out, and so naturally this step up to 1m2f can only enhance his credentials. Ryan Moore takes the ride on this Justify colt, for a stable that have won this race on five occasions in the last six years. There will be no excuses with a draw in stall two or underfoot conditions, and the Ballydoyle representative can show his true colours here and put his name in the hat for Derby glory.

Chester 4.10 - Dream Harder each way

DREAM HARDER wasn't beaten far at all in this race 12 months ago, and can get involved in the shake-up once again this time around at an each-way price. The Ian Williams trained representative has good form at the track, winning on his only other start at the venue, which came off 3lb lower, so he has to come into the equation here.

Any rain wouldn't be an issue, and stall 5 should offer no issues for the five-year-old. Richard KIngscote is in the saddle here, and connections will be looking for a bold show here in a wide-open encounter. The in-form protagonists don't have ideal draws, so I am going to chance an each-way angle.
